National Fireman Appreciation Day 2022

A staple in Cook Forest community, the Pickle Barrel, will be hosting a National Fireman Appreciation Day event at their location on Saturday, May 7th from 10am-4pm. Located 1.25 miles south of Cook Forest on Route 36, The Pickle Barrel is a local establishment here in Cook Forest, offering 3200 sq.ft. of local and handmade items. If you haven’t had the opportunity to meet Erick and Linda, the owners of the Pickle Barrel, you should stop in and say hi!

If you decide to bring the kids down, there will be a ‘touch a truck’ event, allowing them to explore an active fire truck, as well as fire prevention and awareness education courses. They even have the opportunity to meet Smokey the Bear! There will also be live chain saw carving demonstrations from Fox Sawmill, as well as food, raffles, and a Chinese auction! All proceeds will go to the Sigel Volunteer Fire Department!

Come on down to the Pickle Barrel and help us celebrate our local fire department on National Fire Appreciation day, Saturday May 7th, from 10am-4pm!
