Snowman in the Forest Day
Ground Hog Day
On February 2, 2024 at Gobbler’s Knob, Punxsutawney.
Groundhog Day is held at Gobbler’s Knob, a field about two miles outside of Punxsutawney, PA. The gates to the grounds open at 3am. No tickets needed as Groundhog Day is a free event.
From 3am until approximately 7:20am, a party happens at Gobbler’s Knob. While no alcohol is allowed into the event or sold there, the atmosphere is still festive (probably because we need to move to keep from getting too cold.)
For the four and a half hours leading up to Phil’s weather prediction, performers entertain the crowds of people gathering in the field.
