Old Hickory Cabin features three bedrooms all with queen beds plus a large front porch with plenty of outdoor furniture. You will also find a wonderful stone, wood burning fireplace in the living room and a large, lush lawn.

Old Hickory Cabin is a spacious three-bedroom retreat set on 3 acres, offering plenty of room for families and groups to relax and make lasting memories. With its open great room and classic cabin feel, it’s a perfect place to gather and unwind.
Inside, the cabin features a large combined living, dining, and kitchen area centered around a beautiful stone wood-burning fireplace. An auxiliary gas furnace provides additional warmth during colder months. The country-style kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and all cookware, dishes, and utensils needed for your stay. The living room includes satellite TV, a DVD/VCR player, and comfortable seating for everyone.
Old Hickory accommodates up to 8 guests across three bedrooms. The first bedroom includes one queen bed and a set of twin bunk beds, while the second and third bedrooms each feature one queen bed. Bed linens, pillows, and blankets are provided; guests should bring their own bath towels.
Outside, the cabin offers a peaceful setting with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. A large front porch provides a great place to relax and watch for deer, squirrels, and other wildlife that frequently visit the property. The private picnic area includes a fire ring for campfires, a picnic table, lawn furniture, and a charcoal grill—perfect for outdoor meals and evenings by the fire.
Old Hickory Cabin accommodates a total of 8 persons. Base rate is for 4 persons. There is an additional $15 per person over 4 persons in Old Hickory Cabin.
Pre-approved pets are $15 per night per pet with a maximum of 2 pets per cabin.Â

Cancellation Policy
If you find it necessary to cancel your reservation by noon thirty (30) days prior to your arrival date, your deposit will be refunded less a re-booking fee of $75.00. Or, you may choose to apply your deposit, less the re-booking fee to a future visit within 6 months. You will forfeit your deposit if you cancel within the thirty (30) day period prior to your reservation date. Persons who arrive late or depart early receive neither a credit nor a refund.
During your stay in the cabin(s), the Owner strives to maintain the property so that you, the Guest, experience a clean and safe stay. While there may be circumstances beyond the Owner's control, the Owner will make reasonable efforts to deal with any malfunctions. The Owner cannot refund any monies due to such malfunctions but will respond as quickly as possible to make repairs or restore services. Power failures due to storms, etc. are considered beyond the Owner's control and will not constitute a refund of money. The Owner shall have the right of access to the Premises for repair and maintenance during reasonable hours.
Deposit Policy
Your deposit to hold your advance reservation is 50% of your rental fee and is to be received within 7 days of making your reservation. Deposits can be paid with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, your debit card, check or money order.

A wonderful place to stay. Lots to do in cooks forest and the kids never got bored! Great fishing, great hiking, and even through the rain we loved visiting all the shops! The cabin was gorgeous! Lots of space, set up well, and adequate seating for everyone. Having WiFi made it so much easier for the rainy nights. Thanks again!

I spend a weekend at the forest twice a year and needed a new place. I couldn't have been happier. it's remote but close enough to the main part of Cook Forest if you want to kayak and do hiking and perfect if you want to completely unplug. there is no service or wifi unless you head down to the river which is what I was looking for! the house was spotless and cozy but had ample room. Lois was quick to answer all of my questions and for a small fee I was able to check in early so I could enjoy more of my day!
Very nice cabin close to trails and restaurants in Cook Forrest. Very clean. Owner was responsive when wifi was not works. Would book again.

Back bedroom could use decent sheets that stay on the bed, and a mattress pad on top of the rubber sheet.
Another excellent vacation. The cabin was perfect as always. If you ever consider selling, I would be interested in purchasing Old Hickory. Thank you for another great week!! The Light by the porch window doesn't work , and there is a light bulb out in the bathroom. SEE YOU IN THE FALL!!
