The cabin was great. We had a terrific time and particularly enjoyed the fireplace.

We did have a little mouse roommate, however. We attempted to catch him, but were unsuccessful! We left the traps behind for future attempts.

The cabin is great and so comfy. Back yard is the highlight of the camp. You can sit and watch wildlife day and night. The only thing I would suggest to the owners is a railing to help get down the back porch steps.

We've had a wonderful "get away" time at Top Hill. The Blue Spruce Cabin was very clean, comfortable, and nice to come home to; after hiking in the forest all day. Loved the spacious tree-ed clearing around the cabin. We could hear the wind in the trees. We look forward to staying in Blue Spruce next year. Beds and furniture very comfortable. Nice bathrooms! P.S Will bring a rescue Westie next year.

My dad and I come to Top Hill Cabins every Spring and Fall. We usually stay at Sugar Pine, but it was already reserved. We are so happy with Blue Spruce, thought. I think it was divine intervention, though, as we had intermittent rain all weekend. I also had a bed of my own, too. Last night we had a fire in the fireplace, watching TV, eating ice cream, and I asked my dad where else can you have such bliss? Oh, by the way, our rescue dog, Toby, who travels with us, gives "four paws up!". Can't wait to return again.

Thank you for allowing her stay too. We will leave dice this time in table by TV. We love Yahtzee it is our tradition to leave something!

A perfect way to round out 2014! Thank you, Lois and Larry for such a cozy accommodation. A hike, time by the fire, and a comfortable reprieve from the snow will make this a stay to remember. Blessings for 2015

Another awesome fall weekend in The Forest. Cool weather, a roaring fire and good friends. A nice change of pace from the draughty old castle we call home. The flight into JFK was dreadful and boring but the drive across Penna was lovely, Sir William and Sir Glenn arrives a day ahead and readied the forest for out arrival. We attended a masquerade party at a local pub and it was great fun! Thanks for another lovely weekend! See you in the summer.

    10/19/2014

My wife and I have been coming to Cook Forest for years now. This is our 2nd year and we stayed at Douglas Fir in 2012 and brought our cat "Bilbo" along too. We love the fact that not only are the "pet friendly" but also allows cats. Most places that claim to be pet friendly usually just mean dogs. Its great because Bilbo is a part of out family. This time around we brought out 16 month old son and Bilbo. Bilbo again loves his time and out son loves his time too. We enjoyed hiking in Cook Forest (fire tower, forest cathedral, logging roads, ect) and clear creek. We can't hike as much as we usually do having a toddler but what hiking we did was awesome. We spent some time at Double Diamond Deer Ranch and Farmers Inn. We also went to Paul's Pumpkin Patch and hit up a few stores. We ended last night at Trails End. We will cherish the memories we made during this trip, being our sons first time. We look forward to returning to Cook Forest and Top Hill for many years to come. We hope that out son and any other children we may have will bring their kids up here too. Thanks again! Be on the lookout for Bigfoot! No sightings this time around but we know he's out there! ~Not all who wonder are lost~

2nd year at Top Hill Cabins was a smashing success. Great atmosphere as always. Went to a few antique shops in the area for the heck of it. Took forever and a day to get a fire going, almost gave up. Oh well it was a wet summer and we prevailed. Can't wait for next year, will be booking the stay soon. Need to remember helmets to protect us from the bombardment of acorns next time.

    “Warm, comfortable...absolutely awesome”

Spent last weekend in the Blue Spruce cabin - it was awesome!!! Very clean, comfortable and accommodating. Never having been to Cook Forest before I did research on the internet and stumbled on Top Hill Cabins. The cabin photos were 100% accurate. We chose to stay here because the season didn't end on October 15th like so many other places and we could bring our dog. Larry and Lois were awesome and made check-in easy and made us feel right at home. Would highly recommend Top Hill cabins to anyone and will definately return in the future. Thank you!!

Been here a lot of times. Love this place, great comfort away from the city "Bellevue." Brought friends in March 2002. It is just great to get away and enjoy the forest. Did not come here to watch TV. Just wanted to enjoy the fireplace and all the silence.

Our first time staying here at the cabins. They were great, clean, nice to have all the kitchen ware here. The indoor fireplace was nice & toasty even with 5 degree weather. Saw some deer in the yard and also saw some elk on our drives. Would love to come back in the summer!

What a wonderful way to spend my Birthday! We had a very relaxing, romantic time and would love to come back. Everything was very cozy and clean. We used the spare pillows from the bunk as throw pillows on the couch to make it more comfortable! For some reason the furnace went out both mornings and we woke to a chilly 54 degrees! Brrr! All-n-all a GREAT weekend!

Second time at Top Hill Cabins. We love this Blue Spruce Cabin! Hope to back next Thanksgiving! We cooked our Thanksgiving feast here and it was the best! Suggestions: Small lamp on bedroom side tables; Big throw pillows on couch as the back is uncomfortable. Nice and clean. Wonderful fireplace. We love it here in the forest. God Bless --

Cook Forest area is always a great place to go to get away from it all! Time seems to go so fast down here having fun & laughing with the boys. It's still peaceful as always. Just the great outdoors! See ya again next year.

Our stay here was great. Cabin was very clean & homey. Today we went on a canoe ride. We went in a Portland Mills and was to get off at Belltown. It was a 5 hour ride to get to Arroyo Bridge and that did not even bring us half way to Belltown. Thank God for the friendly people around here who gave us food and a ride. Total mess! Saturday was a better day when we rode the horses at the Silver Stallion Stables.

We've stayed here many times and we love it here! Saw almost 20 deer in 2 days! We will be back! Thank you!

    08/18/2007

This is just one of the MANY cabins that are available in the area, as well as campgrounds where you can pitch a tent or set up your camper. They have 14 cabins to choose from here. They are all furnished and ready to go. All have satellite TVs and some have air conditioning. They all have microwaves, tables, chairs, beds, stove, sinks, bathrooms, showers, utensils, etc. So all you really need to bring is yourself, some towels, clothes, etc. They even have fire rings out back of each cabin with picnic tables.

First time here, very relaxing. Great Cabin. Also loved how close the Bar was! No D.U.I.'s here! Would have loved to see more wildlife, only saw 4 deer, 5 squirrels, 10 chipmunks, crows. No bear, maybe next time. Can't wait to come back!

This is our first trip to Top Hill Cabins as well as our first trip to Cook Forest! The Blue Spruce Cabin was a cute & cozy stay. I loved the ice in the freezer seeing as how our first day here was 90 some degrees. And, the cable tv kept us entertained during the rainy nights. I am sure this won't be our last stay here at Top Hill Cabins!

This was our first time being at your cabins when it was snowing and snow on the ground. We have been up here for every season. It is just amazing to be up here for all the different seasons. Always something different. We always hate to leave. We are already talking about staying at your new cabin. We will be back. Keep up the good work. P.S. our last night here we kept the fire going all night!

    02/02/2007

This was our 4th visit to Top Hill Cabins. We came for my 34th birthday. We had a good time, just relaxing. We went to Clear Creek -- very nice with all the now. The low temps were below zero!! We kept warm in the cabin with the fire. Thanks again for a great weekend.

    "Always the Best!"

    by Pat & Georgiana

    01/21/2007

Once again our stay at Top Hill Cabins has been everything we hoped for -- quiet, peaceful, relaxing! The light snowfall -- and cold wind -- made us appreciate the nice cozy fires even more than usual! Coming here with friends to celebrate my birthday has now become an "official" tradition. This is our 3rd January stay! While we have enjoyed coming in the fall also, this is the best! Thank you so much for providing a comfortable, clean, secure get-away spot for our "girls" weekends!
