Groundhog Day
Punxsutawney Phil

Ground Hog Day

On February 2, 2024 at Gobbler’s Knob, Punxsutawney.

Groundhog Day is held at Gobbler’s Knob, a field about two miles outside of Punxsutawney, PA. The gates to the grounds open at 3am. No tickets needed as Groundhog Day is a free event.
From 3am until approximately 7:20am, a party happens at Gobbler’s Knob. While no alcohol is allowed into the event or sold there, the atmosphere is still festive (probably because we need to move to keep from getting too cold.)

For the four and a half hours leading up to Phil’s weather prediction, performers entertain the crowds of people gathering in the field.

Cook Forest Top Hill Cabins is only 45 minutes from Gobbler’s Knob so if you want to schedule a cabin for February 1 and 2,, keep in mind that we have our Cabin Fever Special going on. If you book for those nights, you will get one night free (up to a total of $190 plus tax) by staying 2 consecutive nights. Just go online to our website to schedule the cabin of your choice at www.tophillcabins.com or call us at 800-531-1545.
